Prof. Michael Yam is the Head of Department of Building and Real Estate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prof. Yam serves as the Deputy Director and Executive Secretary of the Chinese National Engineering Research Centre for Steel Construction (Hong Kong Branch). Additionally, Prof. Yam is the Vice President of the Hong Kong Constructional Metal Structures Association and the Chairman of the Building Discipline Advisory Panel of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
